I'm just over half way through Athlete 20XX. I just wanted to say how impressed I am. I love that it focuses on injury prevention, stabilising joints, active mobility and core strength.
I’m 57 and have done a mixture of body weight and mainly free weight exercises for years but have found that I was taking longer to recover from classic heavier weight lower reps type exercises and also finding delayed muscle sensitivity more severe and irritating. So I found that I exercised less frequently and lost some fitness.
I found VAHVA fitness by chance on YouTube and have found this program very doable, with only mild delayed muscle sensitivity. The variety, the pacing and sequencing of exercises all seem really well thought out.
I feel I’m benefiting from a lot of careful thought that has gone into designing this program so I really wanted to thank you for putting it together.

I am a Yoga teacher and have a deep appreciation for locomotive movement.
I purchased the Movement 20XX program and was so impressed with the format and break down of movements for each exercise.
Clearly, dynamic movement and mobility are at the heart of Movement 20XX. I love the primal animal-like flow and how it compliments my yoga practice with strength and stability. It is super fun and an effective method of exercise, body awareness, concentration and coordination. The Movement 20XX was the start of my new-found-love for body weight training and has served as a stepping-stone for Athlete 20XX.
Despite my concerns that weight training would hinder my flexibility and range of motion, I decided to give Athletic 20XX a try. I am so glad I did! This program is the most intelligent strength program. I love that it is not based on heavy-loaded weight training, but rather a refined muscle recruitment that builds functional strength. The progressive phases and variety of the program, makes the daily routines really easy to follow.
Movement 20XX and Athletic 20XX work synergistically for me. The strength and endurance from the Athletic 20XX program fires up my muscles and the Movement 20XX compliments the strength while maintaining mobility, agility and joint articulation.
Before these programs, I had been experiencing shoulder instability that was causing discomfort. I have strengthened my scapula and the surrounding muscle groups, gained much more stability, and best of all, I am pain free!
These two programs harmonize dynamic movement and strength training in a most efficient way. They build power, endurance and a natural freedom flow of body movement. I love Eero’s style and methodology of teaching, and I love the format and design of the programs. I highly recommend both!!

I have a few issues that have popped up. A bad hip for one. But Athlete 20XX is set so you can work either with or work around these.

I've been using medical accuracy segmental body composition monitor to track my fitness progress since the beginning of the program. In eleven weeks of persistent training I've improved my bone density and gained a solid 2kg of lean muscle mass.

I am a lifelong athlete. I have trained floorball, boxing, Hapkido, currently Brazilian jiujitsu and I have been complimenting these hobbies with weight training, yoga, running, cycling, swimming, you name it! Recently I decided to start lifting some weights again since it does prevent injuries I get from hard sparring in BJJ.
Last time I lifted I got really stiff and my cardio went down so I didn't touch barbells in years. I decided to give Athlete 20XX a try since it emphazises on athleticism not just bulking up like most weight lifting programs.
After the first session of phase 1 I was sold since I noticed how weak my hip muscles are (they are very important in BJJ!). Also I noticed that my core muscles and hip mobility were not as good as I thought they were. Improving these areas will help me to be a better grappler and also way more healthier since I have lower back issues.
The stability training of phase 2 is also something new to me. I have done basic planks and core exercises but never done such exercises to hips, legs etc. These really carry on to my performance and are something I will continue to work on more.
The concept of focusing on your muscles and connecting with your mind has really carried on also to my grappling and I have gained more precise movements. This is an important factor of training which is not included in average Joes gym program!
My goal is to achieve good overall fitness and most importantly a healthy body. Athlete 20XX makes me realize weak parts of my body and forces me to work on them every week. A few years back I had a dance accident and have been experiencing some aches and discomfort in my body since then, For the past three months I’ve been going for a lot of physiotherapy to further help with the healing process, around the same time I decided to join VAHVA’s Athlete program, I’ve fond it to be immensely beneficial throughout my recovery.
I quickly started feeling greater stability and control within my body, something as simple as going up the stairs felt different, suddenly it was effortless, more of my body was engaged too, also a wobble that I had on my left knee is now gone.
This whole situation has really helped me to get extremely in tune with my body, so what I find interesting is that after doing VAHVA’s training I literally feel my muscles reacting and readjusting themselves, if that makes sense.

I've been following Eero's work for almost 3 years now. I'm enjoying his content a lot and he teaches more than you can find in any book. I have been using and I am still using his Movement 20XX course today. Before that, I used to be a "lift heavy“ kinda guy but Eero totally changed my approach to fitness.
